The holiday season is set to shine in Queens as Queens Center and The Shops at Atlas Park roll out festive events from parades to tree lightings, photos with Santa, and a cozy breakfast event for the holiday season.

The festivities kick off at Queens Center, located at 90-15 Queens Blvd. in Elmhurst, with a holiday parade on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 1 to 3 p.m. Shoppers and families can watch as Santa and his merry entourage, including the Toy Soldiers, march through Level 3, starting at The Fix. The parade features holiday-themed entertainment and trivia session.

Another highlight at Queens Center is Breakfast with Santa, taking place on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 8 to 10 a.m. at Applebee’s on Level 1. Families are invited to start the morning with breakfast alongside Santa, holiday crafts, and storytime. An ideal way for younger children to enjoy an intimate and magical moment with Santa during the busy shopping season.

Santa photo sessions, a staple at Queens Center, run from Nov. 8 to Dec. 24 on the lower level near JCPenney. Families can capture holiday memories with Santa, and the photo sessions include special options such as pet-friendly visits on select dates and a sensory-friendly “Santa Cares” event on Dec. 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., designed to provide an inclusive experience for children and adults who may benefit from a quieter setting.

Meanwhile, The Shops at Atlas Park, located at 8000 Cooper Ave. in Glendale, is gearing up for a grand tree lighting ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 30, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Center Court. This popular annual event includes a DJ, dance performances, strolling entertainment, and holiday giveaways, and of course, Santa’s arrival. Complimentary cookies and hot chocolate will be offered to attendees while supplies last.

Atlas Park will also host Santa photo sessions starting Nov. 24 through Dec. 24 in Center Court. Special sessions include pet photos on Dec. 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. and a sensory-friendly “Santa Cares” event on Dec. 8 from 10 to 11 a.m., ensuring that all members of the community can share in the joy.
