When Long Island City began its inaugural football season this year the team not only wanted to be competitive, it also wanted to win games.
But a team usually struggles in the first season and it was no different with the Bulldogs, who got off to a 0-5 start. They could have easily packed in the season early, but the Bulldogs turned it around by winning the last three games and ending the season with a 24-6 win over Bryant at Flushing Memorial Field Sunday.
