Every pizza lunch during every Saturday workshop at Queensborough Community College over the past four years has been both a blessing and a hardship for Sherri-Ann Simmons.
For four years, Simmons has been the director of Project Prize at Queensborough, a statewide program that works to keep young teens at risk of dropping out of school make their way to college.
The program is now celebrating its 10th year, but Simmons said that because it depends on state money routinely delayed by politics and late budgets,
