City title might be tough goal for Bryant

By Adam Ronis

Bryant had a great season last year going 24-0 and capturing the B championship. Jimmy Exarhos will take over the coaching job himself after sharing the coaching duties last year. The Owls, who play in the Queens I-B division, graduated eight seniors, two who played major minutes. Martha Zarate now plays at Queensborough Community College and the leading scorer and Most Valuable Player from last year's final, Margaret Salbaja, now plays at Lockhaven University in Pennsylvania. Their leadership qualities will be sorely missed.

The Owls will have four returning players who will all start. They are senior guard Camille Manning, senior guard Pelly Papoutsis, senior center Shatyia Henderson, and junior forward Tia Haines. At point guard is sophomore Anette Cabrera and another top newcomer is sophomore guard Carolyn Akhoungh.
