Survey warns consumers about store credit cards

A Queens congressman this weekend kicked off the holiday shopping season with a caveat to credit-card-wielding customers: When it comes to store-issued plastic, buyer beware.

In a survey released Saturday of more than 40 major store names, U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-Forest Hills) said store-issued credit cards consistently charge higher interest rates than credit cards issued by banks.
