Queens West, the 74-acre waterfront development in Hunters Point, has narrowed the field of bidders for its commercial core down to two, but Forest City Ratner is not one of them.
The two finalists for the four-parcel commercial core between 50th and 54th Avenues along the East River waterfront are developers Triangle and Alcor, according to Carolyn Bachan, president of the Queens West Development Corporation. A final decision is expected by next month.
Forest City Ratner, the Brooklyn developer that has brought multiplex theaters and big-box stores to several Queens neighborhoods, has already been eliminated from the bidding for Queens West, she said.
