The Dorcas Unit of the Nora F. Taylor Missionary Society of the Alien A.M.E. To help immigrants overcome their communication barriers in English, the Humanist Center of Cultures of Jackson Heights is organizing a free weekly Multicultural Conversation Club. Events
Outreach Project is seeking support for its eighth Annual Bowl-A-Thon to fight alcohol and substance abuse. Individuals or groups who bowl, or those who would like to make a contribution, will help raise funds for the organization's many treatment programs for adolescents, adults and women with children. Participants will be asked to collect pledge dollars for every pin they knock down at the event. All bowlers will receive a free gift. Those who raise at least $200 in pledges will receive an Outreach Project sweatshirt.
