The lousy condition of baseball fields in Queens is nothing new to me. As a seldom-used sub on one of the more than 1,000 softball teams playing throughout Queens, I know all too well how horrible the conditions can be.
So, it was with no surprise when Times/Ledger reporter Adam Kramer presented me with an e-mail from a reader lambasting the state of the fields in Queens parks, namely Alley Pond.
The reader, Thomas Affatat, is a coach with St. Luke
