Queens rowers looking to flex their muscles and hit the water had the chance to compete against each other last weekend in the 10th annual Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival in Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
The event, which attracted some 10,000 people and is the largest festival of its kind in the United States, has been growing in popularity for the last nine years. The multicultural celebration and sporting event featured more than 70 teams and more than 1,000 participants.
Borough President Claire Shulman was on hand to welcome the festivities to Queens.
