A little less than a month after state Sen. Frank Padavan (R-Bellerose) sued to get his Democratic opponent, Rory Lancman, thrown off the Working Families Party line in the November election, the State Supreme Court dismissed the lawsuit.
Padavan, a 14-term incumbent who is in a heated re-election race against Lancman, filed the lawsuit claiming that the Working Families Party is not a legally recognized party and should not be allowed to place candidates on the ballot.
