The Teen Center at The Cross Island YMCA, 238-10 Hillside Ave., Bellerose, is back in session with packed schedule of creative activities. The Teen Center is opened on Saturdays from 7 to 10 p.m. for ages 13-18. Activities include swimming, racquetball, arts & crafts, strength training, games and basketball. Upcoming special events include a Back to School Party on Sept. 30. The Flushing YMCA, 138-46 Northern Blvd., offers free activities such as computer classes, recreational swimming and game room time for children ages 8-18 every Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. 718-961-6880.
