2,500 on foot, one on scooter fight breast cancer

She had to endure a bone marrow transplant, chemotherapy and radiation.

Despite all that, the cancer metastasized to her spine, leaving her partially paralyzed, dependent on an electric scooter to get around.

Later this month she plans to ride the scooter as she joins some 2,500 walkers in the Avon Breast Cancer 3-day, covering some 60 miles over three days from Bear Mountain to Manhattan to raise money in the fight against breast cancer.
