Late night riders on the F line will find themselves taking the new 63rd Street tunnel until the middle of the month as part of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s project to relieve congestion on the Queens Boulevard subway lines.

Such rerouting of service will be in effect nightly from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. from now through Feb. 16.

F trains will take a detour between Roosevelt Avenue and 47th Street-50th Streets, stopping at the 21st Street/Queensbridge, Roosevelt Island, Lexington Avenue/63rd Street and 57th Street/6th Avenue Stations.

For Manhattan-bound service to the Queens Plaza, 23rd Street/Ely Avenue, Lexington Avenue/53rd Street and Fifth Avenue stations, riders should take the F train.

To proceed on downtown from the previously listed stations, take the E to Seventh Avenue and transfer to a downtown D train. Then take the D to 47th-50th streets station, where downtown F trains are available.

For service to Queens, take the F train to West 4th Street and transfer to the Queens-bound E. Or take the F to 47th/50th Streets and transfer to an uptown D to Seventh Avenue to transfer to the E.

For Queens-bound trains from the above-mentioned stations, passengers should take the E instead.

E trains will run as usual.
