The Queens Museum of Art highlights a range of compelling glass works in “Heart of Glass,” on display through May 27. Seven international artists take a conceptual and poetic approach to the medium while demonstrating its versatility. Glenford John of Queens will exhibit his artwork at the Hollis Branch, 202-05 Hillside Avenue, from April 18 through May 16. He is one of the finalists in the 18th annual Individual Artists Showcase, which is a juried competition sponsored by the Queens Borough Public Library and the Alliance of Queens Artists. The other finalists' shows will be scheduled later in the year, at Queens Libraries throughout the borough. Admission to all exhibits is free. He is a resident of Ozone Park and an accomplished artist who works in a variety of mediums. Most of his work incorporates his love for nature and his love of people. Instruction/lectures
