After winning last week’s playoff game, 41-9, against Our Lady of the Snows, the Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament boys seventh-grade ‘A’ team ended its season with a 10-6 record Sunday with a heartbreaking 38-37 loss to St. Ann’s.
Due to vacations and family emergencies, only five players were available for the game. OLBS was down 20-6 at halftime, but outscored St. Ann’s 31-18 in the second half, and had the possible game-winning shot just miss at the final buzzer.
Despite losing, the team left the court with heads held high. Coaches Jay Savino and Dennis Hyde would like to thank the players and their families for all their hard work and support this year and look forward to seeing them back next year.
