The fifth-grade boys’ basketball team out of St. Andrew’s dominated Queen of Peace Sunday, March 3, at Our Lady of Lourdes gym.

St. Andrew’s charged to a 27-11 halftime lead as their superior ball movement and rebounding proved too much for the Queen of Peace Blue.

Andrew’s sailed to an easy 54-22 win led by John McEntee’s 12 points, while Jamel Williams (10), Brandon Kubic (8), James Turek (6) Robert Pagan (6), and Emilio Benitez (2) supported the scoring effort as well.

St. Andrew’s bench was aggressive and productive, led by Michael Ballesty and Daniel Capeau. James Kaso could not play, but was on the bench supporting his team.

St. Andrew’s advances in the playoffs to compete for the Flushing-LIC Championship against St. Claire’s.
