The Bayside girls’ softball team sailed to a 14-2 mercy-rule victory over the Campus Magnet Bulldogs Monday afternoon.

The Commodores were led by the stellar pitching of starter Kim Hattan, who went the distance, allowing just two hits while striking out six in the win.

Bayside raised its record to 11-4 overall and 5-1 in league play.

Richmond Hill 11, Jamaica 9. Credela Credle led Richmond Hill with two RBIs in the win Monday afternoon as the Lions improved to 5-7 overall.

Bryant 13, Long Island City 3. Amanda Acevedo struck out seven and got the win on the mound, while going 3-for-4 with two RBIs at the plate to help her own cause. Annette Cabrera belted a two-run homer for the Owls, now 18-1 overall and 6-1 in league play.

Townsend Harris 4, Van Buren 2. The Hawks edged the VeeBees as pitcher Debbie Gopstein scattered five hits.

Springfield Gardens 29, Robert F. Kennedy 28. The Golden Eagles needed 29 runs to win their first league game in two years Friday. Shawntiasha Smith-Cummings led the way with four hits.

Van Buren 11, Campus Magnet 0. Jasmine Edwards tossed a no-hitter for the VeeBees, striking out 11.

Bryant 14, Flushing 1. The Owls got a no-hitter from pitcher Amanda Acevedo, who struck out eight.

Franklin K. Lane 16, Richmond Hill 6. Marjorie Negron belted two dingers and drove in six for the winners.

Queens Vocational 16, Townsend Harris 9. Anna Aumuller scored four times and earned the win for Queens Voc.

Forest Hills 17, Long Island City 6. The Rangers were powered by Daaniyaala Dunkley’s six RBIs, including a grand slam.

Cardozo 5, Francis Lewis 2. The Patriots suffered their first league loss, as the Judges’ Josephine Gregorio held them to just two hits.

Jamaica 14, Hillcrest 7. Jamaica’s Kedesha Farquharson got the win and struck out five.

Bayside 15, Bowne 3. The Commodores were led by Theresa Melhig, who had three hits, including a home run, and four RBIs.

Van Buren 4, Cardozo 3. The VeeBees battled back from a 3-0 first-inning deficit, scoring the game-winner when Jaklyn Cabello crossed the plate on a fly ball error in the sixth. Pitcher Jasmine Edwards went the distance for the win.

Franklin K. Lane 29, Springfield Gardens 6. Lane dominated the Golden Eagles in this game last week, led by the hitting of Jamie Bellettini, who knocked in four and belted three hits.

Beach Channel 25, Richmond Hill 8. The Lions gave up three home runs to the Dolphins’ Dana Butera, who drove in six. Lucia Sirica got the win, helping her own cause with three hits and three RBIs.

Bryant 10, Spence 3. Allison Stupakevich earned the victory in this non-league game, as teammate Maria Elgueria had two hits and four RBIs.

Far Rockaway 14, Robert F. Kennedy 4. The SeaHorses earned their first league win behind the hitting of Marin Bracy and Naomi Anthony.
