The 13-14 year old Glen Oaks Dodgers just completed a wonderful week with three decisive victories. They defeated 3 different teams from the United Queens Alliance.
In game one against Team #5, Glen Oaks won 12-7. The Dodgers received strong pitching from Anubhav Raj who pitched the complete game victory. Stephen Gold and Adam Yager paced the attack with 3 RBIs each. Kurt Nicoll, Titus Samuel, Adam Potash, Avhik Mitra and Rony Abraham each had an RBI in a well balanced Dodger attack.
In game two against Team #2, the first place Dodgers won 17-7. Kurt Nicoll pitched four innings and Adam Yager pitched two innings for the Glen Oaks team. The offense was led by Josh Frost who had two hits and five RBIs, Anubhav Raj had two hits and three RBIs and Matt Carneiro had two RBIs. Titus Samuel, Adam Potash, Stephen Gold, Adam Yager, Kurt Nicoll and Rony Abraham each had 1 RBI to round out the Dodger attack.
In game three against Team #3, the Dodgers won 17-2. Kurt Nicoll and Anubhav Raj each pitched three innings during this victory. The offense was sparked by Anubhav Raj's three hits and four RBIs, Stephen Gold’s two hits and three RBIs, Adam Potash’s three hits and two RBIs, Titus Samuel’s two hits and three runs scored and Jon Ganesh’s two walks and two runs scored.
The Dodgers pounded out 12 hits and improved their overall record to 10-1.
