Last year they went undefeated and won the PeeWee championship and this year, behind powerful hitting, smart base running, stellar defense and dominating pitching, St. Luke’s, now in the Novice Division, has won their first four games 7-3, 24-1, 20-6 and 13-6.
Carlos Cataldo, Mike Dinoto, Dean Glykas, John Masga, Anthony Polito and Mike Socci make up coach Paul Cataldo's pitching staff.
Coach Cataldo said all of the boys are as good with their bats and gloves as they are with their arms. Nick Hristis, John Mattia, John Montoya and Lambros Vandros add big time pop at the plate. John McDounagh, Peter Vaslakos and Lucas Siminovsky have also contributed to the success of the team.
