The Long Island Tomahawks have teamed up the Cross Island YMCA for a rebirth of this proud and respected football organization. The winning tradition of the Tomahawks returns to the club’s former home of Alley Pond Park as part of the Cross Island Y’s youth sports programs.
The Tomahawks will house teams in four divisions, including: Jr. PeeWee, PeeWee, Midget and Bantam. Age and weight runs respectively from 8 years and 90 pounds. through 14 and 155. Tomahawk teams play within the Warner Conference, which includes organizations located throughout the five boroughs of New York City. No experience is necessary.
Practices are played on two weeknights and games run from mid September through December and are played on either Saturday or Sunday.
