A Forest Hills man was arrested last week after a 15-year-old girl told police that he had sexually abused her after luring her into his apartment to have her audition for a part in a phony movie, police said.
Alberto Dominguez, 41, has been charged with statutory sodomy, sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child, according to law enforcement officials.
Dominguez, a photographer who works for a Colombian newspaper called El Paisa Times, apparently met the teenage girl while filming her “Sweet 15” birthday party, Capt. Dennis Calabro of the 112th Precinct told Newsday.
He then made an appointment for her to go to his apartment Wednesday, Oct. 23, saying he would make her a famous model, said police. Once in his apartment, Dominguez handed the girl a script, and asked her to read the part in a love scene, Calabro told the Daily News.
A videotape showed Dominguez stripping down to his underwear and then molesting the 15-year-old girl, a source told Newsday.
“Dominguez lures underage girls to his apartment with the promise of making them movie stars or models,” Calabro told the Daily News. “Once he gets them into his apartment, he gives them a script and asks them to act out sexually explicit scenes.”
Police said when they searched Dominguez’s apartment they found videotapes and photographs of females, including at least a dozen teenage girls, posing with and without Dominguez, reported Newsday.
In one photograph, a topless young woman in bikini briefs is shown holding a copy of a Spanish language newspaper, reported Newsday. In another shot, a young boy who appears to be wearing makeup poses on the laps of two girls in bikinis.
Police urged victims and anyone else who might have information about the case to contact the Queens special victims hotline at 520-9277 or 1-800-577-TIPS.
So far, nobody aside from the 15-year-old and her family have come forward to report information on the case, police said.
