Bantam Division
In an exciting game, Lee’s Jewel Box defeated a tough Franklin’s Printing team, 35-19. The game was close throughout, as both teams entertained the fans with dazzling plays. Ben Tockarshewsky led the way with 21 points for Lee’s, while Dustin Lee finished with 10 and Anthony Andreani contributed 4. Max Popper and Joe Roberti led the way defensively and on the boards. Jeff Johnston and Steve McGrory made great plays for Franklin’s throughout the game.
In a very competitive game, Stitches defeated Lee’s Jewel Box by a narrow margin. Logan Frankel, Derek Capponi, and Steve Foley led the Stitches team to victory. Dave Legaz and Vinay Chodha also contributed to the win with their gritty style of play. Benny Tockershewsky and Anthony Andreani played extremely well for the Lee’s Jewel Box team.
JAM Service Company wrapped up the regular season Bantam Division Championship with a win over Donnelly Home for Adults, 30-21. It was a great team effort as JAM received balanced scoring and a great hustle on the defensive end from all its players. Kenny Lehr had a nice game with 8 points and 5 assists, with Patrick Berndt adding 10 points and 8 rebounds. Sal DiMaria and David Hazin each contributed 4 points while Mike Gallagher had 2 points and played with his usual great intensity. Jose Hasang had 6 rebounds as he played a big part in helping JAM control the boards. For Donnelly, Thomas Reagan and Mark DiPaulo played nice all around games.
In the last game of the regular season, Whitehouse Restaurant beat Dr. Donald Musaffi, Chiropractor, 28-12. Brittany Famighetti played a great defensive game for Whitehouse. Scoring for Whitehouse was Corinne Lippert with 12 points, Jessica Piccolino, Monica Ng, and Rei Lem, each scoring 4 points. Also scoring for Whitehouse were Theresa Schwenk and Kaitlyn McGrory, each with 2 points. Scoring for Dr. Donald Musaffi was Inum Khan with 6 points, Samantha McNamara with 4 points, and Melissa Clavin with 2 points.
In another very close game, Team 4 Magic beat Team 1, 24-20. Team 4 was aided by the sharp shooting of Thomas Renner, who was on loan from Team 2, and scored 6 points. Also scoring for the Magic were Travis Lippert with 13 points, Nicolai Gallegos with 4 points, and Joseph Almodovar scoring 1. Stephen Mirtsopoulos, Johnny Doyle, and Gregory Pitarresi played great defense for Team 4. Scoring for Team 1 was Anthony Scarallo with 8 points, Dylan Levy with 6 points, Simon Sinisthaj with 4 points, and Kevin Reynoso scoring 2.
PeeWee Folks Playhouse improved their league best record to 11-0-1 with a great team effort beating Larry’s Auto Collision, 23-6. The whole team played like the champs that they are, using great teamwork led by Mike McCutchen, Jenna Schiffman, Tom Foley, Dennis Egan, Christina Ferrara, Joseph Piazza, and John Dire. Larry’s Auto Collision was led by Dilion Chateau, and Kyle Walsh.
In the final game of the regular season for the Major Division, Marble Mode defeated Cherry Valley in an entertaining game. Anthony Kapovic, Dave Martin and Joe Montgomery led the Marble Mode team to victory. Zach Frankel and Ralphus Glavan also played extremely well. Ed Johnston and Adam Breidbart played exceptionally well for the Cherry Valley team.
