Police Blotter: Two men stabbed in Flushing incident

FLUSHING – Two unidentified men were stabbed in the back near 147-03 Northern Blvd. at about 12 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to the Breaking News Network.

The victims were taken to New York Hospital Queens in serious condition, the network said. Police were unable to confirm the attack as of press time.

2 men shot in St. Albans listed in stable condition

ST. ALBANS – Two men were shot by unknown attackers about 4:30 a.m. Saturday in front of 109-12 Farmers Blvd., police said.

One victim was shot in both legs and the neck, and was taken to Mary Immaculate Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.

The other, shot in the right thigh and chest, was taken to Franklin General Hospital in Valley Stream, L.I. He also was listed in stable condition.

There were no arrests in the ongoing investigation.

Knife-wielding man attacks woman, 18, in S. Jamaica

SOUTH JAMAICA – An 18-year-old woman told police she was raped at knifepoint by an unidentified assailant last Thursday in Baisley Pond Park.

The woman told police she was approached at about 12:15 a.m. by a knife-wielding man near Merrick and Foch boulevards and forced into the park. The unidentified assailant fled the scene following the alleged rape, police said.

Police described the alleged attacker as a black man, 19 to 22 years old, 170 pounds with baby dreadlocks and wearing black clothing.

Teen reports being shot at residence in Rosedale

ROSEDALE – A 17-year-old boy told officers he was shot in the leg Saturday at a residence near 243rd Street and Huxley Avenue, police said.

The exact location was not known.

The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition two days later.

19-year-old shot in Edgemere listed in serious condition

EDGEMERE – A 19-year-old man was shot twice by an unidentified attacker at 8:45 p.m. near 5149 Alameda Ave., police said.

The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital in serious condition, police said.

No arrests have been made and police are continuing their investigation.

Police arrest homeless man as HB bank heist suspect

HOWARD BEACH – A 39-year-old homeless man was arrested after allegedly robbing a North Fork Bank at 155-14 Cross Bay Blvd. on June 25, police said.

Darren Scriven allegedly displayed a 9mm weapon and passed a note to a teller at about 9:56 a.m., before fleeing with $2,195 in cash, police said.

The suspect was apprehended when James Culliney and Thomas Dolan, two 100th Precinct detectives who were taking a suspect to their station house, saw Scriven fleeing.

Death of Rosedale man in Manhattan ruled a suicide

MANHATTAN – A Rosedale man was found dead on the roof of a Chelsea building Saturday afternoon, police said.

The city medical examiner said the cause of death was blunt trauma to the head that caused a skull fracture, and ruled the death a suicide.

2 stabbed in early morning dispute in Elmhurst

ELMHURST – Three men stabbed a 16-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man in the back after a dispute in front of 81-20 Baxter St. early Monday morning, police said.

The two victims were taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center following the incident that occurred about 5:15 a.m., police said.

The suspects fled and there have been no arrests, police said.

Man armed with note robs Chase bank in Maspeth

MASPETH – A man robbed a Chase bank Friday morning by passing a note to a teller demanding cash, police said.

The suspect, described as white and in his 30s, entered the bank at 66-02 Grand Ave. at about 10 a.m. He fled with about $800 in cash, police said.

There were no injuries.

Dead man found floating near LaGuardia runway

EAST ELMHURST – A dead man washed up near the end of runway 13-31 at LaGuardia Airport Saturday morning, police said.

The discovery was made at around 11 a.m., police said.

The man was not identified immediately, and the medical examiner was determining the cause of death. No arrests were made in the ongoing investigation.

Man found dead in Corona, cause under investigation

CORONA – A 41-year-old man was discovered dead in a room at 113-10 Horace Harding Expressway June 26, police said.

The medical examiner was investigating the cause of death.

Man robs Glendale bank after passing note to teller

GLENDALE – A man passed a note to a teller at a Chase bank branch at 71-04 Woodhaven Blvd., June 25 and got away with about $300 cash, police said.

The suspect, a white male in his 30s had entered the bank about 9:05 a.m., police said.

There were no arrests and the investigation continued.
