Queens Party Leaves

What was to be an early Valentines Day/birthday celebration, turned into a shooting rampage leaving three injured and killing an off-duty corrections officer.
The shooting occurred around 3 a.m. when a dispute broke out between two men dancing with the same woman.
According to management at the Lebanon Lodge on 151st. Street and Guy Brewer Boulevard there were between 100 and 200 people in the club.
Following the argument, one of the men made his way outside the club, pulled out a 9mm handgun and began firing shots into the crowd. When the gunman got into a struggle with another man, he dropped the gun which was then picked up by the man who continued to fire. He then passed the gun to a third man and both fled the scene.
The original shooter was taken to Jamaica Hospital and is being held by police for questioning.
Police sources believe that 15 rounds were discharged by the gun, hitting four people. Gregory Goff, 24, was shot in the torso and died later at Mary Immaculate Hospital. Goff joined the Department of Corrections in June 2002 and was assigned to Rikers Island. The other three shooting victims were taken to nearby hospitals and are all listed in stable condition.
