After a couple of pitching duels, the Washington Mutual Cards’ bats woke up in a slugfest held Saturday to win, 15-11.
Keeping MQFM outfielders busy were Ben Park, Tyler Portalatin, James Aquista, Mike Rosario, James Cazzorla, Corey Mittenthal and Jordan Mittenthal.
On defense, Wesley DeSimone cleanly fielded all grounders at third. James Aquista showed real poise on the mound in his first start of the season, while Michael Rosario came in to relieve him in the last inning and struck out the final batter with the bases loaded to secure the win.
MQFM’s Nicholas Karp played great at second and also contributed two hits.
