State agency clears Smith of berating a gay staffer

The staffer, Wayne Mahlke, had filed a discrimination claim against Smith with the state Division of Human Rights, but in a ruling Feb. 15 the agency said there was “insufficient” evidence to support Mahlke’s claims that Smith had fired
