Flushing remains unbeaten
Flushing had a breakout season last year, winning the Queens III-B division with a 16-2 record and reaching the second round of the playoffs. This year, the program is reaching new heights.
The Red Devils (16-0, 11-0 Queens III-B) are the unquestioned best team in their division again, and are perhaps the best ‘B’ team in the borough behind the dynamic duo of point guard Jazmin Bradley and center Andrea Buckham.
Controlling the perimeter, Bradley is averaging 17 points-a-game while Buckham has been a double-double dynamo inside. She’s scoring 16 points per contest while bringing down over 10 rebounds. Not only has Flushing dismantled division opponents, they’ve beaten the borough’s other top teams in last year’s runner-up Richmond Hill (twice) and perennial Queens I-B power Martin Van Buren (once).
The seniors continued to impress last Friday, combining for 39 points as the Red Devils blasted Information Technology HS, 57-38.
