109th arrests 3 in Flushing, Whitestone home robs

By Scott Sieber

Police arrested a gang of alleged thieves in Flushing Thursday who they believe are responsible for a pattern of at least 25 burglaries throughout Flushing and Whitestone, authorities said.

The three suspects, one juvenile around 15 years old and two young adults in their 20s, would pose as flyer distributors, break into empty houses and make off with hundreds of dollars of loot hidden in a baby stroller, leaving ransacked homes in their wake, authorities said.

They are being charged with grand larceny, burglary, criminal mischief and possession of stolen property.

Police at the 109th Precinct said the suspects would not give their names to officers.

The investigation into the whereabouts of the remainder of the stolen property is continuing.
