SKY LINDSAY
JUNIOR
BASKETBALL
CHRIST THE KING
HIGHLIGHTS: Lindsay has lost just once in her high school basketball career (79-1), and it was as a freshman on the jayvee team that eventually won the city championship. She’s been the starting shooting guard on the Christ the King girls varsity basketball team the last two years, where she’s won a pair of state championships, gone undefeated and finished No. 1 nationally in the overall rankings each of those seasons.
In this year’s state title game, a 79-66 victory over Murry Bergtraum, Lindsay was brilliant early on, scoring 15 of her 16 points in the first half. She also had four assists and three rebounds. In the semifinals, with the Royals’ All-American Tina Charles struggling through a 6-for-19 shooting game, Lindsay scored 17 points.

NOTABLE: Lindsay is a big tennis fan. “I play tennis for fun,” she said. “It’s the only sport you can play while wearing a skirt and jewelry. I love watching Serena and Venus [Williams]. They’re my favorite athletes.”
A 5-foot-11, 135-pound athletic guard with a smooth stroke, Lindsay has already garnered significant interest from Miami, Virginia, Georgetown and Georgia. In college, she would like to study broadcasting. “I want to be a sports broadcaster like Dick Vitale,” she said. “I think I have a nice voice and I love the game of basketball.”

PERSONAL: Although Lindsay is already an accomplished basketball player, her accomplishments in the classroom are just as impressive. She maintains a 93 average despite all her time on the court. “We always know education comes first,” she said.
Lindsay says her favorite class is English, but it’s poetry she’s really taken a liking to, ever since elementary school. “I just love the rhyme and rhythm,” she said.
Lindsay is also an avid reader, with a particular interest in romance novels.
