Track club might be of help

I read your article on the Francis Lewis student that lost his leg from that horrible car accident.
My name is Madeline Case, I live in Queens, and I am disabled. I had a very bad accident getting off a ferry boat two months before 9/11/01. I ended up with osteo-arthritis in both knees with the left knee being the worst. I am currently in physical therapy and belong to the Achilles Track Club in New York.
I know that right now, Mr. Tsai or his family is not in any condition to hear about what can be done for him. However, when he is ready and able to have visitors, I will be happy to mention this to the founder and president of the track club, who himself is an amputee and an athlete.
The Achilles Track Club founder and his vice president go to Walter Reed Medical Center twice a month to take care of wounded vets who fought in Afghanistan and Iraq. They do a great job with them. Some of the vets have gone on to run marathons.
I myself will be doing my very first marathon in a hand cycle in the ING NYC Marathon this year.
