To celebrate the grand opening of their new branch on Bell Boulevard, Flushing Savings Bank hosted a VIP reception on June 22.
With community members and local organizations such as the Bayside Hills Civic Association, Community Boards 7 and 11, the Queens County Women's Bar Association and the Queens Chamber of Commerce, among others, represented, the evening was a networking and “getting to know you” opportunity.
“This is how you build relationships and get to know people, through parties like this,” said Bruce Greenberg, Vice President of Marketing.
“We're a community bank that serves the needs of the people. We know them by name. They’re like a part of the family.”
Happy to be part of a bustling business area such as Bell Boulevard, the staff of Flushing Savings Bank is committed to giving back to and working with the community.
“The bank speaks 37 languages and dialects,” said Maria Grasso, Executive Vice President and COO. “We want to give everyone options.”
Ever community-minded, Flushing Savings has several outreach programs, including seminars for local businesses.
Additionally, they work with the Small Business Association (SBA) to help shop owners in their new venture.
“Our roots are in Queens,” said President and CEO John Buran. “We make our business understanding the community and reaching out to local business owners.”
Founded in 1929, Flushing Savings Bank is growing in the 21st Century.
“We will be looking to grow and bring our type of banking to more of Queens,” said Greenberg.
