The Queens Courier and Daily News announce alliance

The Queens Courier is proud to announce an alliance with the New York Daily News that will garner even bigger results for classified advertisers. The alliance will mean that The Daily News will sell classified advertising into both The Queens Courier and El Correo de Queens - the borough’s only Spanish-language community newspaper.
“The Daily News’ partnership with . . . The Queens Courier is an important component of our existing commitment to the local communities of New York,” said Daily News Chief Executive Officer Marc Kramer. The Daily News will provide our advertisers with even more coverage and value through this partnership while strengthening The Queens Courier’s already solid position as the #1 weekly publication in Queens. Local coverage is becoming even more and more important and this is a big step toward developing an even greater local presence in the Queens community.”
This alliance will further strengthen The Queens Courier as the dominant source of classified advertising among the community newspapers in Queens. The classifieds will now have more listings for prospective employees, homebuyers, renters, auto buyers and other shoppers. The Queens Courier classifieds have their own unique pullout section every week and are available to view online at qns.com for access 24 hours a day.
“The alliance between the Daily News and The Queens Courier will create a dominant print and web presence in the Queens market,” said Victoria Schneps-Yunis, President of Schneps Publications and Publisher of The Queens Courier. The Queens Courier is delighted to join with the Daily News to bring Queens readers the web and print power they deserve.”
