109th Precinct Cops of the Month

Police officers Philip Marchello (center) and Bobby Herschaft (not present) were honored as the 109th Precinct’s cops of the month after stopping a burglary in progress and linking stolen goods to another robbery. In February, the officers responded to a call and found two men carrying assorted clothing and frozen steaks out of a home on Cherry Avenue. After finding out that the items were lifted from the house, the officers linked the burglars to another robbery on the same street two hours earlier. At the 109th Precinct Community Council meeting, Matthew Whelan (right), Commanding Officer of the 109th, and Wanda Beck Antsoh (left) presented Marchello with an award for his service.
