Dominick Ciaravella, age 97, formerly of Flushing, passed away on March 5.
Born in Alessandria Della Rocca in Sicily, Italy, Ciaravella emigrated to the U.S. at the age of 10. He served as an officer in the army during World War II. He was the co-owner of Alliance Woodworking Co. Inc., which specialized in producing custom-made office and retail furniture for a global customer base.
He was married for 45 years to the late Josephine M. Ciaravella. He is survived by his daughter Joanne Ciaravella, several nephews, nieces, grand nephews and nieces as well as a dear sister-in-law.
A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Mel’s R.C. Church. Interment was at Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Martin A. Gleason Funeral Home in Bayside.
