Else Albrecht-Carrie

Else Lorch Albrecht-Carrie passed away on February 13. She was 92 years old. She served as editor and translator for many years at New Directions Publishing. “She gave passionately, generously and with infinite patience to those honored by her love,” said family members.
She is predeceased by her husband Rene. Survived by her children Duncan, Madeline and Ingrid and her grandchildren Dylan and Malcolm. Arrangements were handled by the Martin A. Gleason Funeral Home in Flushing.
