Scholarships help youth

The Women’s Information Network (WIN) held its 3rd Annual Jevon Ryans White Scholarship Luncheon Awards at the Coral House in Baldwin. Founder and executive director Diane Glass Wilson established WIN to award scholarships to deserving young men to assist them in their college endeavors in the memory of her son, who was killed by a senseless act of violence in southeast Queens. A special award was presented to Councilmember Leroy Comrie, who said he was proud to support this program which gives to young people and commended Glass for turning her tragic loss into constructive action by helping young people pursue higher education.
