A private sanitation worker was struck and killed by a garbage truck that rolled back and wedged him between the vehicle and a dumpster.
The incident happened at 36th Street and Northern Boulevard. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded and pronounced Juan Hernandez, 22, dead on the scene. An investigation is ongoing.
