James J. Dougherty, formerly of Flushing and College Point, passed away on April 23. Loving father of James, Kevin and Mary. Brother of Edward and Jane. Beloved longtime partner of Mary Ann Julian. Retired member of FDNY L14, E316, L160.
Arrangements were handled by Martin A. Gleason Funeral Home in Whitestone. A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Andrew Avellino R.C. Church. Internment was at Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery in Flushing.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the NY Firefighters Burn Center, 21 Asch Loop, Bronx, NY.
