Senator Frank Padavan honors Dr. Charlene Jaffie, Principal of Immaculate Conception School in Jamaica Estates, as a 2007 “Woman of Distinction” during a ceremony at the State Capitol.
“Dr. Jaffie’s work at Immaculate Conception School is remarkable,” Padavan said. “The overwhelming outpouring of support and admiration from her colleagues and parents of schoolchildren helped make this honor possible. Dr. Jaffie is a true role model for our community and our children.”
The prestigious award honors women throughout the state for service to their community along with their personal and professional excellence. The Tuesday, June 5 presentation was made in the well of the Legislative Office Building.
