Bruce Bauerle is a second-generation construction worker and opened Five Star Lumber in 1989, Five Star Kitchens a year later and Five Star Spas in 1999.
It marked a tri-pod of companies for the former contractor who has built his businesses on high quality products that last a lifetime, all with low costs.
“Everything comes with a lifetime guarantee and because it lasts it’s how our reputation holds,” he said.
They offer tool and truck rentals, really trying to help their customers get their projects going.
“If a customer has a clogged drain, they can come to us to get Drano, a plunger or a wire snake,” Bauerle said. “We can help them solve every problem they have.”
At Five Star Kitchens, they will help with full layout and design and carry all the accessories you want. The same goes for Five Star Spas and the saunas and hydrotherapy systems they can set up.
Five Star Lumber is a home improvement store, but with a friendly and family way of doing business since it is not a factory and they offer the biggest and best names.
“We do it best,” Bauerle said, “great people, great products and great prices.”
All the stores are located at 210 East Merrick Road in Valley Stream and they are open from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
