Celebrating Community Service

The New York Women’s Foundation (NYWF) recently hosted a dinner celebrating Queens and honoring residents that serve its communities. This year, the group held its event in Jackson Heights. Awardees were Luna Ranjit (second from right), Executive Director of the Long Island City-based Adhikaar, a Nepalese rights group; and Ana Maria Archila (right), Executive Director of the Latin American Integration Center. Ranjit and Archila posed with Brooke Beardslee (left) and Aiyoung Choi (second from left), members of the NYWF Board of Directors and Co-Chairs of the Neighborhood Dinner event. Senator John Sabini and City Councilmember Helen Sears were in attendance at the ceremony.
