Golf Associations Celebrate Season’s End

The Towers Men’s Golf Association (TMGA) held a closing dinner on Wednesday, September 19 in Towers on the Green. On Tuesday, September 25, the Towers Ladies’ Golf Association (TLGA) also held its closing celebration.
TMGA president Ed Vesel said that it was another great season and that there were about 200 male golfers this year. Among the highlights of the recently-concluded season was the introduction of masters tournaments, where satellite nine-hole tournaments where held. Ina Rudolph, TLGA president, said that the ladies also had a successful season, which included annual events such as a Member Guest Tournament and the Babe Zaharias Tournament to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. She said that she thought all of the women were very pleased with the season and added that they had good turnouts for their tournaments. Winners present at the closing dinners are pictured below. Other trophies went to President’s Cup Winners Jim Quinn and Norm Barrie and A-Flight Champion Steve Auerbach.
