During the month of October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Advanced Hearing Center will be honoring breast cancer survivors while also donating a portion of proceeds from Delta hearing aids to the American Cancer Society.
Through the promotion “Think Pink,” breast cancer survivors can be entered into a raffle throughout the month of October to win a free Delta “Think Pink” hearing device. It has been designed specially by Oticon for October. The winner will be selected at the end of the month.
In order to raise money to help support breast cancer research, $100 from each sale of a Delta hearing aid in October will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Individuals ordering them will also get $100 back.
“Because my mother lost her life to breast cancer six years ago, our promotion is a way for me to pay tribute to her and help others who could be more fortunate,” said Advanced Hearing Center’s Dr. Alison Hoffmann.
In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Hoffmann and Dr. Amy Sapodin will be handing out pink ribbons to all patients. For their female patients, they will also be using pink patient forms and will be giving them pink carnations.
The Advanced Hearing Center is located at 1176 Willis Avenue in Albertson. It also has a location in North Shore Towers in Floral Park. For more information, call 516-484-0811.
