Hit And Run For An Hour

A female traffic enforcement agent was struck and injured by a gray 2001 Dodge Suburban near the intersection of 37th Avenue and Main Street. The vehicle fled the scene, heading south on Main Street.
On the basis of a license plate number police immediately went to 24-16 98th Street in East Elmhurst, where they found the vehicle and took the owner into custody less than an hour after the incident. The victim was only slightly injured and was able to go to the precinct to make an identification.
