Hate crime victims - what to do?

Representatives of about 100 community organizations are getting together to combat hate crimes, and help hate crime victims.
Queens Borough President Helen Marshall, in partnership with the Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown’s Office; the New York City Police Department (NYPD) Hate Crimes Task Force, the Anti-Defamation League and the Kupferberg Holocaust Center at Queensborough Community College (QCC), are holding a first-ever, borough-wide forum, “What Do You Do if You are a Victim of a Hate Crime? A Training Program for Queens Community Leaders.”
On Wednesday evening, November 7, participants will gather at the Medical Arts Building on the QCC campus, 222-05 56th Avenue in Bayside, where they will hear from representatives from the New York State Division of Human Rights, NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force, and the Gang Violence/Hate Crimes Bureau of the Queens DA’s office.
Marshall will make a keynote address at the forum, which convenes at 5:30 p.m. Both QCC President Eduardo J. Mart’ and Arthur Flug, Executive Director of the Center will also speak.
