Romeo’s Pizza adds pizzazz to Halloween

Romeo’s Pizza, at 103-20 Liberty Avenue in Ozone Park, hosted its annual Halloween party on Wednesday, October 31 from 4 until 10 p.m.
Appropriately decorated for the season, fog machines blurred the windows, vending machines spewed orange and black confetti, and colored lighting further evoked the holiday spirit.
Jerry Falerno, who has owned Romeo’s for 22 years, said he and his staff handed out over 2,000 bags of treats to kids.
Actors dressed as Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger chased kids around the store, and, while some of the youngest visitors got spooked, said Falerno, it was all in good fun.
“Everybody’s all depressed and working hard during the fall, and I like to do something to raise people’s spirits,” he said.
