Nearly nine months after the Department of Transportation issued an order for the stables at 1680 Pelham Parkway South to remove all horses, a row of empty stalls still remains with no signs of reconstruction of the property in sight.
The dilapidated white house, owned by Buster Marengo, located adjacent to the stalls, also remains, despite rumors that the Parks Department will soon turn the entire property into a Greenstreet.
The property is owned partly by the city and partly by Amtrak.
