Reviving a fight waged a decade ago by their predecessors, leaders of the Throggs Neck Merchants Association plan to ask the city to institute uniform two-hour metered parking along E. Tremont Avenue and alter morning street-cleaning hours.
The suggestions, which have not been formally submitted to the Department of Transportation, are the opening salvo in a broader campaign to address the number-one issue on the minds of Throggs Neck merchants and shoppers: parking.
