A Bronx father is expected to undergo psychiatric evaluation at Bellevue Hospital after allegedly murdering his pregnant 14-year-old daughter two weeks ago.
District Attorney Robert Johnson announced on Friday, February 22, that Miguel Matias, 34, has been indicted in the strangulation of Ana Matias on February 16, at his 1005 Walton Avenue apartment in Highbridge.
Ana, who lived with her mother in Pennsylvania, was visiting her father for the weekend when police say he snapped after catching his daughter text-messaging a boy. It is unclear if Miguel was aware that the victim was pregnant, and the identity of the baby
