A 91-year-old woman who is well loved in her Norwood community was tragically struck by an 18-wheeler, and lost both legs on Thursday, March 14. Police are looking for the hit and run driver who fled the scene.
Anna Rogivan, a retired chemist who lives on Rochambeau Avenue, was crossing E. Gun Hill Road at the corner of DeKalb Avenue when she was struck by the truck, which was traveling west bound on E. Gun Hill Road.
The accident took place at approximately 10:30 a.m. Rogivan was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where she was in critical, but stable condition.
